Evaluation Night Thursday 29th May
Our fourth evaluation night for the year, at our last meeting, set another new record for the number of entrants and the number of submissions. In keeping with recent experience the photographs exhibited once again showed a high degree of quality and an eclectic mix of most interesting subject matter and photo techniques. Thank you to everybody who submitted work and actively participated by explaining their motivation for producing their photographs. It is always of value to hear why, and sometimes how, photographs are created. This type of participation helps to enhance the value of our evaluation nights
Thank you also to those who once again contributed to our group discussion and assisted by asking questions and offering helpful suggestions to the members who exhibited. Such positive suggestions are no doubt be of great assistance to all members. We can all learn from being part of good photographic evaluation.
For our next meeting we will be having a presentation on the topic of Long Exposure Photography. This will be presented by Ian Cambourne and will detail the techniques used to make creative photographs and will give us valuable advice about how we can explore a different genre and make our photographs more creative and more artistic images.
