Presentation #5: Close up and Macro photography
At our last meeting we had another of our Essential Skills presentations. This time we discussed close up and macro photography. The presentation was conducted by Keith Baetz and it was most informative and comprehensive . Keith detailed the differences between close up, macro and micro photographs with many excellent examples of each category. Keith also presented useful guidance on the ways close up and macro photography can be created along with guidance on the hardware available and how to light small subject matter. Thanks go to Keith for his efforts and the sharing of his considerable knowledge of the subject.
Keith’s presentation will be of great assistance when we are preparing our submissions for the close up and macro challenge in a few meeting’s time. A pdf version of Keith’s PowerPoint presentation is now available on our web site, so you can review presentation or study it if you were unable to attend the presentation.
At our next meeting, on May 29, is our fourth evaluation night for this year, so start getting your submissions ready. I am still looking for a moderator for this night, so if anyone would to take on the task, please let me know.
