Evaluation Night #6

Last night we held our 6th evaluation night of the year, this time ably facilitated by Jon Van Daal.  As usual, we had a wide variety of photos submitted, with some philosophical and thought provoking and others showing a sense of humour or a touch of the quirky.  As always, it is interesting to hear from the photographers about their motivation for making the photographs as this is an important part of understanding why we make photographs.

Our next meeting night on the 3rd of September is another challenge, “Creative Use of Lighting”, this time using the information provided at our recent presentation on lighting, details of which can be found on the Support Page, under the heading of Photographic Capture Skills..

Following the Challenge night, we have a special presentation on Plug-in Software and Photoshop alternatives.  Jim and I have put a lot of work into researching and preparing this presentation and we are sure everyone will get something out of it, especially those who don’t use Photoshop and Lightroom.

In other news, we have uploaded Jim’s written guide to Lightroom Fundamentals to the website, ready for download.  It can be found via the Support Page and the heading “Software and Imaging Editing Processes.
