Members Present night 2nd April

Last night we held our first “Members Present” night for 2026, with interesting and thoughtful presentations provided by Hilda High, Jon Higlett, Diane McKenzie, Ian Cambourne and Jim Crew.  Lane Cove is fortunate to have such a wide range of knowledge and experiences we can draw upon for these nights and those present enjoyed seeing and hearing from the presenters.

Hilda presented her thoughts on the pros and cons of doing organised photography tours, Jon presented some fun examples of how you can make cartoonish creations from exotic cars, Diane conducted an “autopsy” of one of her favourite photos, Ian presented his thoughts on making an instant portfolio from a recent photo excursion and Jim provided two short presentations, the first on the value and need to set up a comprehensive filing system and the second on making pinhole photographs using simple homemade equipment.

The night was a great success, and we have a further opportunity for members to make a presentation on October 29th when we have the “Photography My Way” night.

Thanks again to all the members who made the effort to make a presentation last night and to the members for their appreciation of their work.

Our next meeting is the special presentation by Richard I’Anson, called “The travelling Photographer”

Finally, we have a couple of positions still available for the Photoshop introductory workshop next week.  If anyone is interested, please email me or David to register.
