Evaluation Night 19th February

Last night we held our second evaluation night of the year and whilst the total number of submissions was a little down on our first night, there was a wide variety of differing images available for review and discussion.  It is satisfying to see many of our members experimenting with different techniques and compositional ideas with confidence that they will be given careful consideration by our membership.

Thank you to Robert Shaverien for volunteering to be our facilitator on the night.

Our next meeting is the portraiture challenge and for those who don’t have access to a suitable human model, please note that animal portraits are entirely acceptable as submissions.  I look forward to seeing what our members come up with for the night.  A portrait can be defined as a photo that conveys a sense of the character or personality of the sitter and need not be the result of studio lighting or a formal portrait session.

Finally, there are still some places available for our Lightroom workshop on March 12th and the Photoshop workshop on April 9th.  Please contact me directly, or David Edmonds if you would like to participate.
