Presentation, October 30, 2025

At our last meeting we had a guest speaker, Samantha Ohlson, who gave a presentation on the subject of landscape photography, with an emphasis on the Great Ocean Road and surrounds. Samantha provided a vast amount of information about the best locations, the equipment she uses and the landscape photography techniques she employs.

Although the presentation centred on a specific part of the country, much of her advice related to all landscape photography. Samantha gave detailed information about lens choices, composition and viewpoint, appropriate shutter speeds and processing, including focus stacking and combining images to make a complete photograph.

Samantha has published a book about her photography in the area which is available via her web site.

At our next meeting, on October 2, is our final evaluation night for the year. This will be an open subject evaluation, so you can submit photographs that communicate any message. Our moderator for this evaluation will be Andrew Monkman.

Our AGM will be on the following meeting night, so if you wish to nominate for committee, office bearer or president, now is the time to do so. To assist with setting next year’s program a survey has been prepared to gather information and ideas from all members. Please complete this survey, it will be most helpful to our committee for next year.
