Members Say - Our annual Opportunity for members to contribute their knowledge and experiences

Each year we encourage our members to make a contribution in the form of a short presentation on a subject close to their heart. On this night we had several presenters who shared their work and ideas:

Michael Stevens presented a talk on “Funtography” emphasising that it’s not about the gear but rather about getting out and enjoying your surroundings. Even a very simple “Point and Shoot” type of camera can give you images that satisfy your inner creativity.

The next presenter was Mike Cave who showed a short audio visual on his latest work with street photography, all put together with a musical background.

Next was Michael Smyth who showed us a simple way to make our own fine art calendars using templates he had prepared and shared with the members.

Next up we had our newly elected President, Almitra Hill with a lovely presentation on family photography and how to add extra creativity into capturing the important moments of life.

Finally, Steve Mullarkey gave us two short audio visuals based on his travels, put together with some quirky effects and humour, in his usual style. The night was a lot of fun and is a way that our members can give back to the club.
