Established in 1970 Lane Cove Creative Photography has been bringing photographers together for over 47 years.

Vision | to encourage an appreciation of photography as art

  • To offer assistance and instruction to photographers at all levels
  • To assist beginners to learn the art of photography and improve their knowledge and skills
  • To foster creativity in photography
  • To encourage excellence in photography
  • To encourage participation in activities aimed at improving photographic skills

Membership is open to anyone who wants to share and enjoy their interest in photography.

We meet formally every 2nd Thursday at the The Congregational Hall, Cnr Ferdinand and Alexandra Streets, Hunters Hill, commencing at 8pm.

The type of equipment used by members is irrelevant, so long as they have an interest in photography. Pinhole cameras, smartphone cameras, point & shoot cameras, DSLR cameras, and any camera we may have forgot to mention are all perfectly acceptable. There is no preference towards digital or film media. Everyone is welcome.

Each year we organise a field trip where we live and breathe photography over a long weekend. We also have informal, special interest groups that run throughout the year.

Annual membership is currently $60 and runs from January to December.

Lane Cove Creative Photography is affiliated with the Federation of Camera Clubs along with other NSW photographic clubs involving over a thousand photographers.

If you want to develop your photographic skills, this is the place to be!

What We Do

Each year we put together a very exciting and unique series of events. By participating in the club everyone is a winner.

View a fantastic selection of our members great work through their participation at the club.

Portfolios provide an opportunity for people interested in designing, developing and implementing a photographic body of work and to encourage growth as a creative photographer.

Each year we set out to challenge ourselves with a series of activities that will force us to think and hopefully learn something new along the way.
